Slide of the Year Competition :-  Is a traditional club competition and is now combined with the new Urquhart Trophy for Creativity Slide Competition since the winners are selected from the same entry.  The winners of these competitions are awarded trophies. The Competition for year 2007/08 was judged by David Hay of Pitlochry.

The Urquhart Trophy for Creativity. :- The winner will be awarded the new Glass Trophy which has been presented to the club by Ian Urquhart, husband of Heather.

1. Up to a maximum of three slides may be entered.

2. Slides must have been entered in a Moray Camera Club competition during the current Club year.

3. In addition to selecting 1st, 2nd and 3rd, the Judge will be asked to select the top ten slides.

4. The new Urquhart Trophy for Creativity, will be made to the author who has used skill to produce the Best Creative Slide.

5. The Competition Secretary for slides is Alan Butterfield.

The George Esson Trophy for Photographer of The Year. :- This will be awarded to the Member who has scored the highest number of points across all Club Competitions in the Club Year. Points will be calculated as follows :- 1st Place = 3 points, 2nd Place = 2 points, 3rd Place = 1 point. In the event of a tie at any position, all entrants will receive the same award of points. In the Small Print and Slide league competitions only the final league positions will be used in the calculation.

The Competition for year 2007/08 was judged by David Hay of Pitlochry.
